Just a quick post this morning as we're off for a day at the cottage of my niece's in-laws in Hampstead, New Hampshire.  It's a gorgeous summer day here and the cottage is right on a lake so I think it's going to be a lovely day to be outdoors with friends and family!
I wanted to join in at the Muse Challenge #130 this week where Tracy's card was the inspiration.
Here is her card:
and here's the card I created.  I used stamps from two Waltzingmouse sets.  I stamped the palm tree and sentiment from My Island onto Vintage Cream Linen card stock.  The blossom from Free Spirit Boy was stamped on white card stock, colored with Ranger Distress Markers, cut out and layered over the tree with foam dots.
Wishing everyone a wonderrful weekend!

What's Up?

I've got a few CAS challenge cards to share today -  I've been away from the craft room for a bit with all the Easter Prep last week!

First here's a cute little 'hair raising' stamp from Picture Show for the CASology cue card  - UP - the What's Up stamp is from Hambo Stamps.  I drew the edge with a Fine Point Micron Pen.  I used the colors (red, yellow, blue) from the SCS Color challenge.

Up next is a card for three challenges -  Muse Challenge #11, Less is More - Scallops and

I die cut the front with a Spellbinders Label 18the text and sending thanks stamps are from Waltzingmouse - they are stamped on the inside of the card- seen through the die cut-out on the front..  The big scallop edge was made with a punch from EK Success and the small scallop edge was made with a punch from SU.

My final card was made using  the CAS(E) this sketch
The stamp is from Papertrey Ink, and the cute polka dot mini bag is from Impress.  I tucked a Starbucks gift card inside it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Framed Wings and Some Embossed Sympathy

I have two cards to share today.
I made this card for the following challenges:
The SCS Try a New Technique challenge - Transform a map -  I punched my butterflies out of a map from a National Geographic.
Less is More Challenge -  Frame It -  I embossed a square Nestability frame in the card base.
CAS on Sunday -  Flutterby - I used three butterflies on my card.
Addicted to CAS -  code word WINGS -  there are 6 of them on my card!

I've been needing Sympathy cards for my stash so that's what I made my next card.
I was inspired by the color stripes and white embossed flowers on this weeks Muse Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.   Wednesday I'll be posting a really cute Easter project using a template from Creations by AR.  Hope you can come by then!

Monochromatic Muse Sketch

I've just finished a card for 3 lovely challenges:

Jingle Belles - Use only neutral colors

CAS(E) this sketch
and a new challenge I just found  - Muse Challenge
where we are to be inspired by this card:
And here are the three challenges all rolled up into my one card!   I used tans for my neutrals - Vintage Cream Cardstock with Frayed Burlap and Old Paper Distress for inks.  I made my background with an Aspen Tree Stencil that I sponged with the Old Paper Ink.  The window die is the Small Madison Window that I popped up over the background with foam dots and I punched the sentiment with the Modern Label punch by SU.
The Muse challenge ends tomorrow so I'm going to hurry up and post this so I can link it up  - don't want to miss it like my project on yesterday's post!!

ETA:   I'm also entering this into the Little Red Wagon challenge I just found - to use a window!

Thanks so much for stopping by -  have a great weekend everyone!!
